Brooked Studio (operated by Brooke Dixon, ABN: 29 885 071 960, trading as Brooked Studio) is committed to protecting the privacy of all clients, models, website visitors and individuals whose personal information is collected in the course of business.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Brooked Studio collects, how it is used, how it is stored, and the rights individuals have in relation to their information. It applies to information collected through the Brooked Studio website, Instagram account, direct enquiries, client bookings and shoots.

Brooked Studio operates in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

  • Name, email address, phone number and business details provided through enquiry forms, direct messages or booking processes

  • Instagram handle and social media profile information where relevant to a booking or collaboration

  • Payment information — note that Brooked Studio does not store credit card or banking details; payments are processed via bank transfer or third-party payment platforms

  • Images and video footage of individuals captured during shoots

  • Information provided in model release forms, including date of birth and consent details

  • Communications between Brooked Studio and clients, models or enquirers via email, Instagram DMs or other channels

3. How We Use Personal Information

Personal information collected by Brooked Studio is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Processing and managing client bookings and service agreements

  • Communicating with clients, models and collaborators in relation to shoots and deliverables

  • Sending invoices and managing payment

  • Delivering final image galleries and creative assets to clients

  • Obtaining and storing model consent in accordance with legal requirements

  • Improving the services offered by Brooked Studio

  • Complying with legal and regulatory obligations

Brooked Studio will not use personal information for any purpose beyond those listed above without first obtaining the individual's consent.

  • Client and booking information: stored in password-protected digital files and accounting software (Wave)

  • Email communications: stored in a password-protected business email account

  • Model release forms: stored as signed physical or digital documents in a secure location

  • Image files: stored on password-protected devices and encrypted cloud storage

Brooked Studio takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Access to personal information is limited to Brooke Dixon and any contractors engaged by the Studio who require access to perform their services, subject to confidentiality obligations.

5. Sharing of Personal Information

Brooked Studio does not sell, trade or rent personal information to third parties. Personal information may be shared in the following limited circumstances:

  • With contractors engaged to support a shoot (e.g. hair and makeup artists, models) — only the information necessary to complete the engagement will be shared

  • With the client, where a model's contact details or consent form is relevant to the delivery of services

  • With service providers who assist in operating the business (e.g. accounting software, cloud storage, email providers) — these providers are required to maintain the confidentiality and security of information

  • Where required by law or by a court or regulatory authority

6. Images and Photography

Photographs and video footage captured during Brooked Studio shoots may include identifiable images of individuals. All individuals appearing in commercial shoots are required to sign a Model Release Form prior to images being delivered or published. Images will only be used in the ways consented to in the signed release form.

Where images are shared on Brooked Studio's Instagram or website for portfolio purposes, individuals retain the right to request removal at any time by contacting Brooked Studio in writing.

7. Website and Cookies

The Brooked Studio website may collect non-personal information about visitors, including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited and time spent on site, through standard web analytics tools such as Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics. This information is used solely to improve the website experience and is not linked to any individual's personal identity.

Cookies may be used by the website and third-party analytics tools. Visitors may disable cookies through their browser settings, though this may affect website functionality.

8. Access and Correction

Individuals have the right to request access to the personal information Brooked Studio holds about them, and to request corrections if any information is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
